Lies Chelsea Handler Told Me

Can I get an AMEN from my Chelsea Handler fans!!!!???? No? Okay, well whatev.

I am here today to do a book review of Lies that Chelsea Handler Told Me. It is a Chelsea Handler book that is written by her family, friends, and dog. This is the little overview that I pulled from BarnesandNoble.com:
“”My tendency to make up stories and lie compulsively for the sake of my own amusement takes up a good portion of my day and provides me with a peace of mind not easily attainable in this economic climate."—Chelsea Handler, from Chapter 10 of Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang
It's no lie: Chelsea Handler loves to smoke out "dumbassness," the condition people suffer from that allows them to fall prey to her brand of complete and utter nonsense. Friends, family, co-workers—they've all been tricked by Chelsea into believing stories of total foolishness and into behaving like total fools. Luckily, they've lived to tell the tales and, for the very first time, write about them. “

I bought the book the first time I saw it at Target because I LOVE her books. I own My Horizontal Life, Are You There Vodka, It’s Me Chelsea, and Chelsea, Chelsea, Bang, Bang, and they all have my laughing out loud when I read them. This book was no different. I highly recommend that any of you who enjoy her show or her other books read it. Each chapter is written by a different one of her friends, family members, or coworkers, and they each tell stories about the times that Chelsea has lied to them, pranked them, or otherwise made their lives a bit more difficult and entertaining.  At the end of each chapter, Chelsea writes a short response about the stories they told and how she feels about them.

This book does not disappoint. I have been pretty busy lately, but I flew through this book like nobody’s business. I give it 5 stars. The only way it could have been better is if it was longer and contained more hilarious stories. I strongly urge you all to go out and read it. There’s even funny pictures!
