It's My Birthday and I'll Cry if I Want To

Here is a little recap from my birthday weekend, my pets.
Friday night, I had some good alone time at home. Chad’s cousin had just gotten home from Alaska where he works, so Chad was being a nice cousin and took him home over the mountains. So, I curled up on the couch with Buck and watched Twilight. Once Chad got home, we went to bed.
Saturday, I got up early to go with my mom to Nordstrom Rack for a preferred shopper private sale. We met my sister there, did some shopping for an hour and a half, then went to breakfast. I didn’t get too many things… a pair of shoes, a couple sweaters, a tank top, some earrings, and some workout clothes. Once we got home, I took a nap. My plan had been to go to the zoo for my birthday and then get some dinner in Seattle. However, none of my friends (with the exception of Kristine) felt the urge to attend my birthday party, so I just slept the afternoon away. Later that evening, Chad and I headed out to Tacoma to go to Hooters for my birthday dinner. Kristine and Kenny met us there, as did my sister. It was a bit of a let down. The food was nothing special, and the service definitely left something to be desired. After dinner, Kristine, Chad, Kenny and I headed back to the Valley to hit up the Snoqualmie Casino. I tinkered around on a penny machine for a while… I was up $10, then back down, then up again, and left with the same $20 I went in with. Chad walked away about $13 richer. That was just about it for my birthday party.

Today, I got up, did some dishes and cleaning, and then headed out to my side job bookkeeping for a lady I know. I waited around on her gorgeous front porch for about 15 minutes before coming to the conclusion that she had forgotten and she wasn’t home. Oh well. Then I came home and watched Stop Loss while I was waiting for the Safeway delivery guy. If you haven’t seen that movie, I would suggest you watch it. It was pretty intense, but I really liked it. I teared up at more than one place. Insert another nap, and bell choir rehearsal, and that was it for my Sunday.

Overall, it was a pretty bland weekend. Not quite what I had hoped for my birthday weekend, but the people closest to me were there, so that’s all that matters!
