Smells of the Seasons

One thing that makes me really happy is the SMELL of new seasons. Ya know what I mean?

Winter to me always just smells like cold weather. The air doesn't have a real smell aside from wood smoke from people's fireplaces, and around the holidays you can smell food outside people's houses.

Spring smells like rain. And flowers starting to bloom. And the first grass cuttings of the year come in spring.

Don't get me starting on summer. It smells like sunshine and barbecues and fruit and even more flowers. The smell of the summer mornings is something I can't even come close to describing.
Am I alone here?

Fall smells like leaves. The smell of the rain comes back, but it's heavier. Pumpkins and MUD. Wind. Yes, the wind has a smell.

I may complain sometimes about the crappy weather here, but I wouldn't trade our 4 seasons for anything.

Oh my gosh, this made me miss Washington! I lived there for about 3 years, in the Seattle area. LOVED every second of it. If I wasn't so far from family, I'd move back in a heart beat.
