Last night was the night that we redeemed our Christmas gift from my sister and brother in law... our front row tickets to Cirque du Soleil!
We all met up and drove over to Marymoor Park together (for those of you who don't live in this area, Marymoor is a HUGE park that has an offleash dog park, climbing wall, baseball fields, and hosts events, such as Cirque du soleil).
Our night started by spending a crap ton of money on beer/wine/popcorn. Then we went to our seats, and Chad and I left our stuff to go to the bathroom. While we were gone, one of the employees came and knocked his beer over. The people behind us were just apalled because not only did she just knock it over and not bother bringing him a new one, but she also just left the spilled beer all over the floor. They ended up complaining because they didn't want to sit with their feet in sticky beer all night, so she got all snotty and came and mopped it up, and also got Chad a new beer, so it all worked out.
Anyways, back to the point. If you've never seen a Cirque du Soleil show, DO IT! It is so amazing... the actors are really engaging, they interact with the audience, and the performers are just awesome. Chad wasn't very excited to go at first, just because it isn't the type of thing that normally grabs his interest, but he really had a good time also (granted, now he says he is getting a unicycle and is going to set up giant swings from the trees in our yard, but thats another battle all together).
It was a great night and a great Christmas gift idea!
