I'm Going into Labor...

...Labor Day weekend, that is. And by "going into" I mean I'm going to tell you about it.
Are we all on the same page now?

Friday Night: to sum things up, I had a BIT too much to drink. Since I've been working out so religiously and eating healthy and losing weight, me and alcohol haven't been as close as we used to be. So when we went out and were socializing and having a good time, it's safe to say I indulged a bit too much. Apparently I was the life of the party. But when I got home, it caught up with me, I fell down (at LEAST twice) and hurt myself.
NOT my favorite thing.

Saturday: After spending the day mending my face and ego, we headed out to see my cousin (second cousin, technically) get married.
It was a beautiful day and a beautiful location. What you couldn't see is that in the background is a beautiful clear view of Mount Rainier.

Sunday: Spent the morning stacking wood for the winter (that's house we REALLY know summer is coming to an end). Our woodshed is stocked, and we still have a big pile to deal with once we get the other half of our shed cleaned out.

Then that evening we ended up going out fishing for about an hour and a half, since it was likely the last time we would be able to.
I got skunked, but I did get to see the resident beaver. Then right when we were about to head back in, Chad hooked into an effing hog of a bass.
5 pounds, 11 ounces. His biggest bass yet (I think...)
It was a nice way to end the night.

Today (aka Monday): Chad had to work today, and my sister had an appointment for some people to come see their house (which they are selling, FYI) so she texted me and suggested we go on a hike on one of our local trails we've never been on before.
The reviews I read online LIED to me... people were saying that it was more of a walk than a hike. But believe you me, it was a hike. And there were LOTS of children (screaming children) present.
I was pretty sore from all the moving and stacking of the wood yesterday, so I was hurting a bit, but the views were really worth it.

Overall the weekend ended well and I am looking forward to fall.
