Cinco de Mayo and my First Massage

Well folks, I don't know about you, but my weekend has been pretty full.

Friday night was the usual... dinner and beverages whilst watching TV.

Saturday is when the good stuff happened.
I got up in the morning and went to Costco with my mom. The whole reason I went was to get some new water shoes for floating the river this summer.
It didn't stop there though... of course I had to get some new workout clothes, slippers, food, and some books (I got the last copy of Shades of Gray, much against my better judgement).

After that, we came back home and I headed to the farm to clean my horse up. By the way, I decided not to sell her. Ever since the day I listed her on Craigslist, I was having the worst struggle with it. Crying everyday about it and just feeling sick to my stomach. So I decided to not do that and just see if i can work through the problems. I'm taking her to the vet next week and hoping to get some real advice on what steps to take to get her in tip top shape again.

After the farm, it was time for me to shower and head out to get my first ever massage, courtesy of my good friend Courtney.
Let me tell you a little something... I prepared for this massage as though it were a first date that I thought might end up going "all the way". I shaved my legs, sprayed myself down with my VS Bombshell body mist, put on my best underwear... the whole 9 yards.
I realize this is ridiculous. But I didn't know what to expect!
Courtney made my appointment for me (she was going an hour earlier because she was doing a massage and facial), and told me to be there half hour early or so because there was new customer paperwork I had to fill out.
After I filled the paperwork out, they put me in the "quiet" room. Basically a dark room with some music and a little fountain thing. And someone comes in every 3 minutes and tries to get you to drink some water. As though you are too incompetent to use the water cooler yourself.
Finally I go in and the massage was nice, yada yada yada. She even spent extra time on my bad foot doing some stuff to increase the flexibility of that problem toe joint.
Then, at the end she says "okay, go ahead and put your clothes back on, and then crack the door and I can get you some water" (WTF with the water?!) Well, there she was standing there with a smile on her face and water in her had.
Overall, it was great. Although as the evening wore on, my back (particularly up by my shoulders) got more and more sore. I guess next time I'll have them go a little easier on me.

Anywho, the evening ended with a Cinco de Mayo feast at Courtney and her boyfriends house. There was enchiladas, carne asada, and empanadas. DELISH.

Then we drove home and saw the super moon!

I apologize for this awkwardly ended post, but my attention span is short right now, and the sun is shining. I gotta go!

Hahahaha, they really do shove water down your throat. It's so you aren't as sore, apparently. I need a massage. It's been almost a year!!
