Erg...

I know everybody is talking about season finales today on Boob Tube Babble... and I sincerely hope there are other people out there that are feeling the same way I am about the finale of Hart of Dixie.

I hafta say, I was really happy when George decided to go through with the wedding to Lemon. I think they need to be together, although I really wanted him with Zoe in the beginning.
NOT. ANY. MORE.
Now I want her with Wade.
Because he's a hot piece of man meat.
Hello there...

Ahem, back to the point of this post.
I was SO STOKED when they got trapped in that barn together during the storm. I KNEW it was going to bring them together.
Look at that smile... *swoon*.

And then when they went back to the plantation and Zoe deliberately flipped the power breaker to make Wade come over to her place where they did the dirty.
I said to myself "this is it, this is when they finally realize that they really love each other!"
And then who comes along? That bastard George Tucker. Talking all about how he left Lemon on their wedding day and how he and Zoe have SOOO much to talk about, obviously not realizing that Zoe and Wade had just consummated their turbulent relationship.

And rather than telling him, "hey there mister, you had your chance! I've moved on!" she just stands there like a fracking moron and doesn't say anything. And then she goes back into her bedroom and there's Wade... all hot and happy and naked in her bed. And she has that stupid look on her face that you just know Wade sees right through and knows what it means.

And then it's OVER.

What. The. Hell.

Long Overdue

Boob Tube Babble

I haven't linked up for a few weeks, but right now I can NOT avoid talking about my two of my current favorite TV shows.

I talk, of course, about Pretty Little Liars and The Lying Game.

First up, PLL.

Now, I'm starting to think that the show is going to follow the books when they reveal who A is. For those of you who watch but haven't read the books, I won't give you a complete spoiler. But I will say that things are starting to show signs of being similar... although this Vivian Darkbloom character is just coming out of left field. Whoa.
I am completely chomping at the bit to find out if my suspicions are correct.
And I really want everybody's boyfriends to come back now, particularly Toby.

Next, The Lying Game

Seriously, why does Sutton have to be such a slut bag? Or suck a sucky person IN GENERAL. I mean, doesn't she realize that Emma would be a really great friend/sister to have, if she would just stop being so freaking jealous all the time?
And good for Emma for standing up for herself to Ethan when he finally told her the truth. Although I do hope that he realizes he needs to drop all feelings for Sutton like a bad habit and just get with Emma 100%.
Speaking of Emma, I want her to tell Laurel the truth. I think that Laurel would keep the secret and would end up being like Mads and appreciating her so much more.

Anyways, in other TV news, the only other show I've really been watching regularly is The Challenge: Battle of the Exes.

So glad CT is back, and i kind of want to see things get rekindled with him and Diem. And I'm still a big fan of Paula, and I love the fact that every season she seems to get more and more confident. I'm sure FINALLY winning last season helps that a lot. Johnny and Camila are ON FIRE. I like them both okay, so I don't mind.
Overall, this season isn't leaving me completely anxious for the next episode, but I am enjoying it and, surprisingly enough, Chad enjoys watching with me.

TV Shows that I hope Don't Get Canceled

Boob Tube Babble

I'm linking up for Boob Tube Babble today, and what I really want to talk about is shows that I don't want to get cancelled, but I really am afraid they will.

First up, Hart of Dixie.

I never hear anybody say anything about this show, which is what makes me scared that it won't make it past it's first season. Which would devastate me.
It has comedy, a little bit of mystery, romance, and a good variety of storylines going on.
So please, go watch it. K thanks.

Next, the Secret Circle.

I love this show because it has a lot of mystery, and magic, and good characters. Great cliffhangers that leave me really mad that i have to wait a week to see what's gonna happen. But I do kind of think that it could run out of shockers eventually and it will just run its course.

Pan Am.

Now, I KNOW this show is getting cancelled. Sad day. I guess it just didn't have staying power. It started with a bang, but I think it just got a little too slow for people to follow it. I mean, it took me a while to get into it, and I can totally understand that it doesn't really have that THING that makes me anxious for the next episode. I'll survive the loss of this one... even though I love Christina Ricci.

New shows!

Boob Tube Babble

So, it's been a while since I've linked up for Boob Tube Babble with Ashley and Neely, and I have officially taken on a couple new shows!

First up is Pan Am. I really wasn't sure I was going to like this show at first. I decided to watch the first episode during one of Chad's hunting weekends. I wasn't too impressed. Yet, I went back for the second. And third. And fourth episodes. So now, while I still think it lacks something (which I can't put my finger on), I can't handle missing an episode because I need to know how the story is going to unfold.

Next: Once Upon a Time. This is a brand spanking new show. And I LOVE it. First of all, I love Jennifer Morrison. And I love the old school fairy tales. So you put those together in a modern show, and I am very happy.

Lastly, did anybody else watch the Halloween special of Pretty Little Liars?! I can't even begin to talk about it all. But I'll try.
Jenna... WOW. She was really giving Ali a run for her money fromt he beginning, yeah?

And those scary people in the burlap costumes. Super crazy!

Boob Tube Babble: 90s edition

Boob Tube Babble

Some of my favorite 90’s shows are going to be the focus of this week’s Boob Tube Babble post.
Salute Your Shorts: Don’t tell me you guys didn’t watch this show. It was so HYSTERICAL to me back then. Even now, I am still a huge fan. I even have a Camp Anawana sweatshirt at home. That’s right kids, I am a die hard fan.

Legends of the Hidden Temple: This show was pretty dang awesome too. I mean, essentially navigating a temple to find treasure for your team? Doesn’t get much better than that. There were the Red Jaguars, the Blue Barracudas, the Green Monkeys, the Orange Iguanas, the Purple Parrots, and the Silver Snakes. Essentially these teams would get eliminated in each round (the moat, the steps of knowledge, the temple games, and finally, the temple run). Ah-mazing. (read about it here)

Bug Juice: This was a reality show on Disney Channel about kids at summer camp. Even back in the 90’s I was into reality shows. I probably liked this show a lot because they were kids my age that I could relate to. (Along the same lines, there was Totally Circus, which was only on for a couple months. Children living and traveling with the circus for a summer… pretty freaking sweet).

Are You Afraid of the Dark: This show… man. I STILL watch this show. The Midnight Society would meet and sit around a fire and take turns telling scary stories. Back in the day, they REALLY freaked me out. Not so much now, as I have found since I purchased the seasons on DVD. But, my all time favorite story is still the one where the girl stays with her aunt next door to an empty house that is haunted by the ghost of a little girl who lives in the mirror in her old bedroom (the Tale of the Lonely Ghost).

Zenon Girl of the 21st Century: I was in 6th grade when this movie started showing on Disney Channel. At first I thought for sure I would be made fun of for loving it, but then it turned into a craze. She wore the COOLEST clothes, said the COOLEST words, and lived the COOLEST life. On top of having a pretty sweet life, living in space and whatnot. I watched this movie so many times, I had all the words memorized. I even recorded it from the TV onto a videotape (commercials and all) so I could watch it whenever I wanted. It was THAT good.

This is just a little taste of some if my fave shows from back in the golden years.

Dances, mother daughter moments, framed Liars, and some pitbull love

For today’s Boob Tube Babble, I am only going to have a few shows to talk about because I have been slacking on my television watching.

Boob Tube Babble

First, I would like to talk about the show Dance Moms on Lifetime. I wrote a little blurb about this show the other day when I first discovered it. But I am now full blown addicted. Not good. It is kind of along the same lines as Toddlers and Tiaras, except these girls are older and I feel like they are going through quite a bit more grueling training. Seriously, some of these girls are in the studio for, like, 8-10 hours A DAY. Don’t even get me started on the crazy dance teacher, she is a nut ball. But what can I say, it makes for great TV.
(every week she does a pyramid with the "best" pupil on top to motivate the kids... INSANE!)

Next, as always, I need to give a shout out to Gilmore Girls. I can’t remember which season I am on (I think 6 maybe?), but things are getting good. Rory and Lorelai are back together as a family, Lorelai and Luke are planning their wedding, and Luke found out he has a daughter. CA-RAZY. Love it.
(Rory and Lorelai somewhat reuniting at Rory's 21st birthday party)

Pretty Little Liars. Don’t try to lie and say you aren’t practically peeing your pants waiting for the fall premiere to come on. The summer finale was so out of control, I can’t handle the fact that they left us hanging. They can’t seriously think those girls killed Alison! For real?!
(The poor girls in the interrogation room after being framed by A. Bitch...)
Now, this last show is a show I got hooked on during a marathon one weekend and I haven’t seen it on the listings, which is DEVASTATING to me. I speak, of course, about Pitbulls and Parolees on Animal Planet. If you haven’t seen this show, I feel like you should watch it, especially if you have only ever heard bad things about pitbulls and the people who own them. This woman, Tia Torres, takes in all sorts of bull dog breeds that have no place left to go. If they are good candidates for adoption, she works with them and sets them up with families. If not, she keeps them for the rest of their lives. She hires parolees who need work to do stuff around the property. They start out just cleaning the kennels and doing little stuff like that, but as they stick around longer and prove themselves trustworthy and responsible, she assigns dogs to them for them to work with on obedience, socialization, and basic dog skills. It is such a heartwarming show for me to watch. Not only are the dogs getting a second chance at finding loving homes, but the parolees are working their way back into society and doing something that makes them feel really good. I know a lot of people aren’t pitbull people or fans or whatever, but it is such a great thing she does, giving those dogs and people second chances. And I am sad because it isn’t on anymore L
(One of the parolees gettin a little lovin from his partner... melt my heart!)

That pretty much does it for this edition of Boob Tube Babble.

Boob Tube Babble, one day late

Well kids, I know I watch basically the same shows all the time, but here I am linking up with Neely for a little bit of Boob Tube Babble. These are the shows I am watching right now:
Switched at Birth: This is another ABC Family show that I have gotten really into. For those of you who don’t know, it is about two girls whose families find out that there was a mixup at the hospital when they were born, and they went home with the wrong parents. They meet each other and they all start trying to live as one big, weird family. There was a really great ending to this week’s episode when Daphne discovers that her mom has secretly always known about the mix up and she has a big guitar case full of pictures of Bay (her biological daughter). Intense.

Teen Mom: I am so glad that they brought back the original girls. Although I could do without Amber and Gary in my life, because I think they are a waste of TV time and they have too many issues to deal with and they should be seeking counseling, not viewers. Maci is by far my favorite Teen Mom. I am glad that she made Kyle meet Ryan, but I secretly still wish for her and Ryan to get back together because he is way hotter. And Farrah… I am torn between how I feel about her. Sometimes I love her because she is strong and not afraid to say how she feels, and she has been doing her best for Sophia since day one. But other times I hate her because she is very impulsive and her quick mouth can sometimes make her look like a real bitch.

Celebrity Rehab: This is another show that I was happy to see come back. While I feel like a lot of these celebrities just do it for the money, they all have real issues and I like to believe that they are taking something away from the experience. I was especially excited to see that the kid that played Hoby Buchanan on Baywatch (the guy that was the Hoff’s son on the show) is on there. I was basically in love with him in 3rd grade. I couldn’t tell you his REAL name though… Jeremy something. He is still pretty hot, but now that I know he has a severe steroid addiction, some of the mystery is gone.

That's it for now my friends.

Look, it's a Babbling brook....

I'm linking up with Neely over at A Complete Waste of Makeup for her weekly Boob Tube Babble. So here are my shows of choice right now.

The Challenge: Rivals

Is anybody else out there completely stoked that Ev and Paula are a) getting along really well, and b) kicking some serious ass? Because I really am. Also, I would like to say that I might be in love with CT. But don't tell Chad. Because I think he might in love with him too.

Pretty Little Liars

I clearly can't say enough about this show. It completely BLOWS MY MIND every week. I don't know whether to be excited that Ian is dead because he is a bunghole, or really upset because there was a lot of information packed into that beautiful, evil body of his...

Gilmore Girls

So, for some reason I can't stop watching this dang show. Sister had lent me the first season and it took me quite a while to get through it for some reason. But now I am just powering through season 2. I got my mom hooked. And Chad too, although he would never admit it. CAN'T GET ENOUGH!

Deadliest Catch

I used to watch this show religiously, however I have gotten fairly busy lately, so I have missed a few episodes. However, the following still ring true: 1) Captain Phil is greatly missed... the Cornelia Marie is not the same without him, 2) Captain Keith of the Wizard is a first class DOUCHE BAG. I can't stand that guy, and 3) Little baby Jake Anderson is so dang cute, I just want to lick his face. I wonder whatever happened to that father of his... hmmm...

That's it for now, my little honey bees.
